Samsung Art Store Teams Up with SFMOMA for Home Art Access

In a groundbreaking move that bridges world-class museums and everyday living spaces, Samsung has partnered with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) to bring an exclusive collection of modern masterpieces directly to homes worldwide via the Samsung Art Store.

Announced recently, this collaboration marks SFMOMA as the first West Coast museum to join the Samsung Art Store platform. The debut features 34 carefully curated artworks from SFMOMA’s renowned permanent collection, now available in stunning 4K resolution on compatible Samsung TVs, including the popular The Frame lifestyle television series and select QLED models.

The partnership expands access to 20th-century icons, allowing users to display celebrated pieces such as Diego Rivera’s “The Flower Carrier” (1935), Henri Matisse’s “Femme au chapeau” (1905), Wayne Thiebaud’s “i” (1963), Jackson Pollock’s “Guardians of the Secret” (1943), and Piet Mondrian’s “New York City 2” (1941). These digital reproductions transform ordinary screens into dynamic gallery walls, with art enthusiasts able to rotate works seasonally or match them to home decor.

Samsung Art Store has steadily grown its offerings through collaborations with leading institutions, previously featuring exclusives from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and others. This latest addition emphasizes modern masters and reflects a broader trend of democratizing high art through technology, making museum-quality experiences accessible without leaving home.

SFMOMA’s involvement highlights the Bay Area institution’s commitment to innovative outreach, extending its mission beyond physical walls to global audiences. Users can explore and purchase access to these works through the Art Store app or interface on supported Samsung devices, with options for one-time buys or subscriptions.

The initiative underscores how digital platforms are reshaping art engagement in 2026, blending cutting-edge display tech with cultural heritage for a new era of personalized collecting.
