Indonesian Artist Builds NFT Portrait Series
JAKARTA — Ketut, a self-taught digital artist from Indonesia who operates under the handle @thegleamsquad on X, has released multiple seasons of portrait-focused NFT collections known as Gleam Squad.

The original Gleam Squad collection launched in May 2023 on the Polygon blockchain. It consists of 147 unique profile picture (PFP) artworks featuring line-drawn female portraits. According to the project’s OpenSea page, the collection remains active with a small number of unique owners.
Subsequent drops have continued the series. Gleam Squad S2 was offered at 0.005 WETH, while Gleam Squad S3 launched at 0.008 WETH. Both seasons maintain the artist’s signature style of clean lines and luminous portrait compositions.

Ketut has described his approach in public statements on X. In one post, he stated: “I’m not building for the next flip. I’m building a world, one piece at a time.” He has emphasized creating art and community evolution rather than short-term market gains.
The artist regularly shares works-in-progress and completed pieces on X, often posting new “Gleams” with simple captions inviting viewers to check them out. Some community members have responded positively, with holders expressing appreciation for the artworks and occasional giveaways hosted by the project.

In addition to main collections, Ketut has produced related items such as Gleam Squad postcards available through subscriber channels. The project operates independently without announced corporate backing or large-scale marketing campaigns.
As of March 2026, the NFT market continues to see varied activity among smaller, artist-led projects. Gleam Squad represents one example of ongoing portrait series on Polygon, a blockchain often used for lower-cost minting and trading.
