Dolce & Gabbana Transforms Miami’s Design District into a Rococo Italian Fantasy
MIAMI — The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami) has welcomed a lavish celebration of Italian craftsmanship and opulent design with the North American stop of “From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana”. Following sold-out runs in Paris, Rome, and Milan, the immersive exhibition opened on February 6 and runs through June 14, 2026, drawing fashion enthusiasts and contemporary art lovers into the visionary world of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
Curated by Florence Müller with set design by Agence Galuchat, the exhibition features more than 300 archival and new pieces spanning the fashion house’s Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and jewelry collections. Organized into thematic rooms, it traces the designers’ creative process — from initial inspiration drawn from Italian culture, history, and folklore to the meticulous handwork of skilled artisans.
Visitors encounter dramatic installations evoking Sicilian baroque churches, Venetian carnivals, and Renaissance opera stages, complete with ornate chandeliers, frescoed walls, and theatrical backdrops. Highlights include elaborately embroidered gowns, jeweled accessories, and couture pieces that blend sacred iconography with contemporary flair, creating a multisensory journey through beauty, excess, and devotion to fatto a mano — handmade excellence.

Bonnie Clearwater, ICA Miami’s Director and Chief Curator, noted the exhibition’s alignment with the museum’s expanded space in the Miami Design District, transforming the neighborhood into a destination for cultural dialogue between fashion and contemporary art.

Tickets, priced at $26–$28, are available at dolcegabbanaexhibition.com. The show is open daily with extended evening hours on weekends.
This groundbreaking presentation not only honors four decades of Dolce & Gabbana’s legacy but also invites reflection on the enduring power of handcrafted luxury in a digital age, positioning Miami as a vibrant hub for innovative cultural experiences.
