Tattoo Artist Magazine Launches New Spotlight Series in March 2026 Issue

Paris, France – Tattoo Artist Magazine (TAM) has released its March 2026 digital edition, marking a significant step forward for the trade publication with the debut of two ongoing spotlight series designed to deepen industry insight and celebrate key figures in tattooing.

The issue, now available for subscribers, features cover artwork by Swiss tattoo artist Sören Sangkuhl from the Canton of Luzern. Sangkuhl’s work draws heavily from Japanese legends, mythology, and traditional bodysuit techniques, showcasing intricate, narrative-driven designs that blend cultural heritage with contemporary execution.

Leading the new features is the “Mondial du Tatouage 2026” spotlight, which revisits the final edition of the iconic Paris convention held January 30 to February 1 at the Grande Halle de la Villette. Organized by legendary French tattooer Tin-Tin since 1999, the event drew over 550 artists from around the world, including talents from the United States, Japan, Brazil, and Tahiti. TAM’s coverage includes exclusive interviews with participating artists, behind-the-scenes insights from production team members Esther and Simon, and reflections from Tin-Tin on the convention’s historic run and emotional farewell. The series captures the vibrant atmosphere, tattoo contests, live concerts, and diverse styles that defined what many called an unmissable celebration of global tattoo culture.

Complementing this is the inaugural “Tattoo Machine Builders and Manufacturers” series, exploring the tools that power the craft. It features in-depth conversations with over 30 builders specializing in coil, rotary, hybrid, and pen-style machines, alongside a spotlight interview with renowned figure Micky Sharpz, detailing his 40-year legacy in Birmingham, England.

Additional content includes a lengthy “From Scratch” interview with New Zealand artist Matt Jordan on his eight-year project “A Body of Work,” an exhibition elevating tattooing as fine art.

The March edition underscores TAM’s renewed focus on professional knowledge and community since its 2026 revival. Subscriptions offer access to monthly spotlights and archival material.
