Royal Tattoo Expo 2026: A Celebration of Ink and Artistry
Flandreau, S.D. — As the doors open today at the Prairie View Event Hall for the Royal Tattoo Expo 2026, one of the industry’s most respected international voices is throwing his full support behind the three-day celebration of ink and artistry.
Ryan “Busta” Boltoon, the Johannesburg-based owner of The Golden Tiki Tattoo Parlour with more than 20 years of experience, has officially signed on as a championship sponsor. Known across South Africa and beyond for his vibrant custom color work, bold new-school designs, and meticulous attention to detail, Busta brings a global perspective to this growing U.S.-based gathering.

Organizers describe the expo as far more than a standard convention. Running April 3–5, 2026, the event features over 100 national tattoo artists, live tattoo competitions with professional judging, nonstop live music and DJ sets, and a high-energy atmosphere designed to spotlight emerging and established talent alike.
Attendees can expect walk-up tattoo sessions, vendor booths, and the electric buzz of machines humming from morning until late night. Tickets remain available, with day passes at $20 and weekend passes at $50.

For Busta, the sponsorship reflects a commitment to elevating the craft and fostering community across borders. “After two decades pushing the boundaries of custom tattooing, I’m excited to help champion artists who bring passion and precision to the chair,” he shared in a statement ahead of the opening.
The expo’s timing over Easter weekend adds to the festive mood, with organizers promising an inclusive space where collectors, first-timers, and seasoned enthusiasts can connect, compete, and create lasting art on skin.
As the machines fire up today in South Dakota, the Royal Tattoo Expo 2026 stands poised to deliver a bold showcase of contemporary tattoo culture — one needle, one story, and one unforgettable piece at a time.
