Aspen, Colorado — The Aspen Art Fair will return to the historic Hotel Jerome from July 29 to August 1, 2026, offering collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts an intimate, immersive experience amid the Rocky Mountains. Now in its third edition, the fair continues to distinguish itself through its boutique scale and integration with Aspen Art Week, drawing more than 7,000 visitors in previous years.
Under newly appointed director Kelly Cornell — who also leads the Dallas Art Fair — and co-founder Bob Chase, owner of Aspen’s Hexton Gallery, the 2026 edition features more than 35 international exhibitors. Organizers expanded several booths to accommodate demand, after nearly 90 galleries expressed interest in the invitation-only event. “The Hotel Jerome is one of the most storied and intimate locations in Aspen,” Chase told ARTnews. “It has long served as Aspen’s gathering place.”
First-time participants highlight the fair’s growing appeal, including Albertz Benda (Los Angeles and New York), Friedman Benda, Library Street Collective (Detroit), Monique Meloche Gallery (Chicago), and R & Company (New York). Returning favorites encompass Marianne Boesky Gallery, Perrotin, Sean Kelly, Galerie Gmurzynska, and local stalwarts such as Galerie Maximillian and Hexton Gallery. The full list also features 193 Gallery (Paris, Venice, Saint-Tropez), Anat Ebgi Gallery, Cadogan Gallery, Ippodo Gallery, and Southern Guild, among others.
A major addition this year is a new outdoor sculpture garden, activating the hotel’s grounds with large-scale installations that dialogue with Aspen’s dramatic natural vistas. Chase noted the enhancement reflects collector interest in outdoor works and the unique installation opportunities presented by the mountain setting.

Beyond commercial booths housed in guest rooms and public spaces, the fair deepens its programming. The Art Prize Program partners with Anderson Ranch Arts Center and Buckhorn Public Arts for residencies, acquisitions, and commissions. It coincides with the Aspen Art Museum’s AIR festival, featuring artists like Lucy Raven, Matthew Barney, Camille Henrot, and Adrián Villar Rojas. A portion of ticket proceeds supports the Aspen Education Foundation’s IB Art Program, with selected student works on view.
The fair’s emphasis on close viewing and meaningful conversations sets it apart from larger events. Galleries present across purpose-built setups and hotel rooms, fostering a social, experiential atmosphere suited to Aspen’s refined cultural calendar.
