Fame Lady Society Features Active Participant Jilly Rappaport

Jilly Rappaport, known on the social platform X as @JillyRappaport or Jilly Snipes, is an active participant and supporter in Fame Lady Society, a community-owned non-fungible token (NFT) project on the Ethereum and Base blockchains. She has publicly described herself on X as involved with the project, including references to hand-drawn artwork and community activities.

Fame Lady Society originated as Fame Lady Squad, which launched on July 12, 2021, as what the project described as the first all-female generative profile picture (PFP) NFT collection on Ethereum, consisting of 8,888 unique tokens. At the time, the broader NFT market was experiencing rapid growth and high speculation, with total market capitalization reaching tens of billions of dollars, according to contemporaneous industry reports.

Weeks after the launch, the original developers—identified in contemporaneous reports as three Russian men—publicly admitted they had falsely presented themselves as women. According to an August 2021 Business Insider article, the founders transferred control of the smart contract and project assets to the community on August 11, 2021. The project later rebranded and evolved into Fame Lady Society. It now operates as a volunteer-run initiative with no paid team, according to its official website (fameladysociety.com).

Rappaport has been involved with the project since its early days as Fame Lady Squad and has posted on X about contributing to community initiatives. Specific details of her artistic contributions rely primarily on her own public statements. As a collector I have been following Jilly for sometime as well as joining Discord convos as well as Spaces. Jilly is a strong community member within the web3 space.

On July 12, 2024—the third anniversary of the original launch—Fame Lady Society introduced $FAME, a token using the DN-404 standard on the Base blockchain. According to project documentation on fameladysociety.com, the mechanism links ERC-20 token liquidity with ERC-721 NFT features. Holders of one million $FAME tokens can automatically mint one of 888 unique 1/1 Society Lady NFTs, with selling tokens resulting in the associated NFT being burned.

The NFT sector has faced significant volatility since its 2021 peak. According to DappRadar and CryptoSlam data cited in multiple 2025 analyses, art NFT trading volume collapsed by over 90% from roughly $2.9 billion in 2021 to approximately $24 million in Q1 2025, with overall market volumes remaining well below boom-era levels despite occasional rebounds. Industry observers have noted ongoing concerns around speculation, fraud risks, market sustainability, and challenges faced by community-governed projects, including coordination difficulties, dependence on volunteer efforts, and potential governance issues such as lack of formal regulation and transparency risks, as discussed in academic and policy reviews.

The project states on its website that it focuses on women’s representation in Web3 through decentralized governance and art. Following the 2021 events, the community took over operations, an episode widely covered by outlets including Business Insider and Decrypt at the time.
