DFZ Labs’ Ghost Machine NFT Collection Sells Out Rapidly on ApeChain

In a notable resurgence of community-driven minting activity within the ApeCoin ecosystem, Ghost Machine — the latest project from DFZ Labs, the team behind the established Deadfellaz collection — has fully sold out its 50,000-piece supply on ApeChain.

The hyper-pop art PFP collection, illustrated by co-founder Psych NFT, launched on June 13, 2025, via the Blever launchpad. It featured a tiered mint structure: free claims for existing Deadfellaz and Deadfrenz holders, followed by guaranteed lists, first-come-first-served access, and a public mint priced at approximately $1 (or 1.4 $APE at the time).

The collection achieved full allocation within roughly 24 hours, prompting celebratory posts from the team. “SOLD OUT. 50k minted. Today has been really, really fun,” shared Deadfellaz co-founder Betty NFT. Psych NFT echoed the sentiment, thanking the community and expressing excitement about future activations across ApeChain and the broader Yuga Labs ecosystem.

Ghost Machine stands out for its vibrant, character-focused hyper-pop aesthetic — bold colors, expressive digital spirits, and playful traits that blend pop art energy with ghostly, otherworldly themes. The project builds directly on DFZ Labs’ track record of engaging communities through on-chain experiences and utility-focused development.

ApeChain, a Layer-2 network tied to ApeCoin, has positioned itself as a supportive environment for builders. Founders have praised its smooth launches, active community, and ongoing ecosystem initiatives. The rapid sell-out of Ghost Machine highlights sustained interest in accessible, creatively driven NFT drops even as the broader market matures.

As secondary trading begins on platforms like OpenSea (ApeChain deployment), observers note the collection’s floor price fluctuating around several APE tokens, with select rare traits commanding premiums. Industry watchers view the event as evidence that strong team reputation and targeted community rewards continue to drive successful mints in Web3 art and collectibles.

DFZ Labs has hinted at post-mint activations, including potential games, apparel, and cross-ecosystem collaborations. Whether Ghost Machine becomes a long-term cultural fixture in the Ape ecosystem remains to be seen, but its swift sell-out injects fresh momentum into ApeChain’s NFT narrative.
